Manila Mayor-elect Alfredo Lim takes his oath of office, with Vice-President Noli de Castro, Senator Jose "Jinggoy" Ejercito Estrada and several other ambassadors and cabinet officials witnessing the ceremony administered by Chief Justice Reynato Puno.

Lim, an outgoing Senator who returns as Manila mayor has promised to bring law and order back to the city.

The ceremonies were held at the Bonifacio Shrine beside the city hall of Manila—which was built during Lim’s previous terms as Manila mayor. In turn, Vice Mayor Francisco Domagoso and other newly elected officials of Manila also took their oath administered by Mayor Lim.
